We hope this letter finds you well and that the changes and adaptions this year have brought you through to a better place.
DVLC Board members are meeting virtually. Faced with challenges of the times, we continue to operate much the same though using different methods. This year DVLC welcomed new board members and we continue to maintain a list of interested ESL students as well as recruiting new tutors. Although the tutors and students miss seeing each other in person, they are happy to continue the learning experience with online conferencing.
In the same vein, DVLC video conference keeps the organization moving forward with everyone collaborating and on track with a virtual tutor training orientation in the works and scheduled for February 27 and March 6, 2021.
Folks at home seeking a community connection need not wait for the virtual tutor training -- just hop online to the DVLC website at www.dvlc4esl.org to see what's happening This year there are new member opportunities. Key positions include Student/Tutor Coordinator and Workshop Training Resistrar.
