to our new tutors who completed their workshop in early March 2023
Our first
Saturday workshop was on Zoom and the second Saturday workshop was in person at
Good Shepherd. It’s always nice for the training workshop volunteers including
presenters, hospitality and set up crew to see the new tutors and each other in
person.

VOLUNTEERS, Would you like to BE an English tutor?
The Diablo Valley Literacy Council welcomes volunteers to tutor
adults in English in the Diablo Valley area of Concord, Martinez,
Pleasant Hill, Clayton, Pacheco, Walnut Creek, and Lafayette.
We need tutors who can commit to 1 or 2 hours of tutoring per week on a regular basis.
We provide training, match you to a student and help start your 1-on-1 tutoring.
March 16 10:00 - 12:00 noon
and March 23rd 10:00am - 1:00pm
The first session 3/16 will be OVER ZOOM.
The March 23 session is in person
Fellowship Hall of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
4000 Clayton Road in Concord
Please note that both sessions must be attended.
Cost: $20 registration fee includes dues for 2024
